Abstract

Summary

Global climate changes are manifested in different ways in the regions of the globe, and their impact is becoming more and more noticeable and, above all, is reflected in agricultural production, one of the most climate-dependent sectors of the economy. Climate changes prevent sustainable agricultural production, therefore there is a need to effectively use the potential of drainage systems, which is an additional resource for increasing the productivity of the farm output on drained lands. The formation of new conditions for the cultivation of farm crops and changes in the use of drained lands determine the need to expand the functional tasks of drainage systems and restore water regulation on drained lands. To establish the peculiarities of the formation of the water regime of drained soils in modern conditions of climate change, monitoring studies were carried out, which include meteorological observations, determination of indicators of the groundwater level (GWL), and soil moisture, biometric characteristics during the growing season.
