Abstract
This research focuses on the importance of dissolved oxygen in hydrological studies. Dissolved oxygen serves as a key parameter in understanding hydrological systems and assessing water quality in rivers. It acts as an indicator of water pollution, reflects hydrological conditions, impacts the water balance, and is crucial for human health and drinking water quality. Monitoring dissolved oxygen content is essential for studying aquatic systems and making informed management decisions.
The study was conducted in the Dniester River basin, specifically the Dniester flood control area in Mariiampil village. Its primary objective was to determine dissolved oxygen and electrical conductivity levels in the river’s waters and establish a correlation between these indicators. Analysis involved measuring dissolved oxygen, pH, and electrical conductivity using an AZ-86031 analyzer.
