Abstract

Summary

A 3-dimensional mathematical model of hydrogeological conditions of the territory of the Kalush mining district, which is currently under a state of technogenic load after the termination of potash production, was created. The forecasts of brine leakage from the Dombrovsky quarry into the gravel and pebble aquifer was made. According to the modeling results, it was found that in 40 years the salinization area of the aquifer under the influence of the Dombrovsky quarry will spread to 600 meters. The influence of brine leaks from the Dombrovsky quarry will not have a negative impact on groundwater pollution in the area of the Dobrivliansky water intake, which is the main source of drinking water in Kalush.
