Abstract

Summary

The first results, which are presented in this abstract, are related to the international project titled “Quantifying magnetic properties of soils to evaluate sustainable hazards from heavy metal pollution due to military activities in Ukraine”. The project is supported by Polish Academy of Science in collaboration with the U.S. National Academy of Sciences with the financial support of external partners. First field measurements and sampling were performed within unexploded ordnance landfill site in Kyiv region and Ozera-15 battlefield at the recaptured area of Kyiv region, used to be massively shelled.
