Abstract

Summary

Analyses of in-situ stress and fractures are required to understand the fluid flow pattern in geo-reservoirs. In recent year, numerous studies have shown the impact of local structures on the in-situ stress variabilities of sedimentary basins. However, limited studies have been conducted on the role of these stress perturbations in permeability and fluid flow pattern. This paper investigates the relationship between fractures, localised stress pattern, and permeability of the Gunnedah Basin, where shows massive stress variables at small scales.
