Abstract

Summary

The Equatorial Margin is a wide area that encompasses 5 basins. It presents new seismic inversion challenges, leading us to develop new tools and approaches. We present a hybrid FWI approach, that includes elastic effects to improve the inversion results. We apply this methodology to a synthetic model representative of the Equatorial Margin and show how it affects imaging targets in the area.
