Abstract
Summary
Exploration in Brunei Shell Petroleum is tasked with generating new nearfield infill opportunities to replenish the funnel for short and longer-term sustained production. Such effort requires seamless synergy with the field development teams, so the arrival of new data triggered a re-evaluation of mapped deep field structures that were previously deemed uneconomic to drill and develop. Chasing the remaining infill in late field life requires substantial work scope compared to standalone exploration wells but the track record of NFE infill shows that successful campaigns deliver high value to the BSP venture.
