Abstract

Summary

A measurment using ground-penetrating radar method was done on an area with nickel laterite potential in Asera Subdistrict, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. GPR Method utilizes the difference between dielectric permittivity of constituent materials consisting each layer in the laterite zone to delineate boundaries between layers. Based on the interpretation of the GPR data slices in the research area, an indicated limonite zone was found shown in the radargram by paralleled layer reflectivity pattern with low amplitude, while the indicated saprolite zone was found shown in the radargram by hummocky reflectivity pattern with high amplitude contrast.
