Abstract

Summary

This paper presents a novel millimeter-wave MIMO GB-SAR system integrated with a stereo camera.

It can measure the distance and angle of target objects from the reflected wave data and reconstruct the SAR image of the target object position and intensity by its radar, as well as capture the measurement target area by its stereo camera.

In addition, an integration scheme of SAR image and 3D point cloud data generated by the stereo camera was developed.

It allows to easily identify not only the position but also the 3D geometry of the target objects.

In the primary test, the reflective objects in the test field were detected in the SAR image, and the 3D geometry of each object was identified in the integrated 3D image of SAR image and point cloud data.

This MIMO GB-SAR is expected to easily detect changes in the target area such as the disaster affected area.
