Abstract

Summary

This presentation presents a new lightweight and easy portable coil configuration for the recently developed sTEM system. The new coil configuration consists of small transmitter and receiver coils in an offset configuration, suitable for rapid measurements, offering an affordable, fast, and user-friendly approach for shallow geophysical exploration. The sTEM’s fast data acquisition, and the mobility of the newly developed small offset configuration make it a viable alternative to traditional methods like Electrical Resistivity Tomography. It is particularly adept for profiling in use cases such as groundwater exploration, and its affordability and portability makes it invaluable in remote and resource-constrained regions. In the conference presentation, we will showcase field examples from surveys and provide comparisons with other types of data.
