Abstract

Summary

In this study, we present new results, challenges, and learnings for steady-state supercritical carbon dioxide and brine relative permeability measurements using legacy core material from the Bream Field (Australia) for potential carbon capture and storage applications. First, we discuss legacy core material challenges and handling. Second, we discuss supercritical CO2 and brine specific test design and protocols. Last, we present results and implication of relative permeability measurements in the context of carbon storage.
