Abstract

Summary

This abstract presents a comprehensive study conducted in the Suriname Basin that integrates three different techniques to accurately predict pore pressure within geological formations. In addition, the study utilized results from forward stratigraphic modelling to constrain the lithofacies variation across the basin, leading to improved fluid-flow and pressure model. The integration of seismic velocity, petrophysical and 3D petroleum system modelling provides clearer overview of the geopressure history and subsequently the hydrocarbon charge in the study area.
