Abstract

Summary

This abstract share the authors experience in conducting probabilistic structural uncertainties analysis within a mature field (T Field) in Central Balingian Sarawak. Traditionally. structural uncertainties are handled deterministically within the static model when geologist/geomodeler create separate structure grids for Low, Base, and High cases by utilizing three sets of horizons and fault sticks combinations, as captured through various time-depth conversion techniques. Horizon & Faults Uncertainty Modeling (HUM & FUM) can generate multiple structural model probabilistically, capturing horizons & fault placement uncertainties to de-risk structural uncertainties in highly compartmentalized and mature fields. Significant reduction of time spent in generating structural model compared to manually built 3 deterministic structural model.
