Abstract

Summary

High-resolution seismic can identify relevant seawater structures in 2D profiles or in regional 3D surveys. Water plume imaging can detect outflowing geothermal or freshwater or gases of natural origin for marine geology and environmental studies or thermocline variations over time and on a large scale. In this paper, we present some imaging algorithm for plume detection and several application examples.
