Abstract

Summary

A gas field is currently in its mid-to-late development stages. The presence of gas clouds significantly degrades the quality of P-wave seismic data. Historically, the study of structures and reservoirs has heavily relied on well data, which has rendered a detailed description of the gas field extremely challenging. To efficiently tap the potential of the gas field and ensure its continuous stable production, this paper undertakes technical research centered around S-wave seismic data. Firstly, S-wave seismic data is harnessed to meticulously describe the structures and reservoirs. Secondly, under the guidance of the physical simulation experiment results of water invasion, the S-wave seismic data, in conjunction with production data, is employed to clarify the migration laws of gas and water within the gas cloud area. Finally, based on the aforesaid research findings, development adjustment countermeasures are put forward. Through this series of research efforts, the gas field has achieved remarkable results in terms of potential tapping and development adjustment.
