Abstract

Summary

Through continuous research, theoretical analysis and practical application, it has been shown that the PS-wave differs significantly from P-wave, but can offer richer seismic information and certain advantages in lithology and reservoir identification. PS-wave amplitude attributes can better identify different types of sandstone. 90-degree phase shift calculation of PS-wave could directly represent the sandstone bodies. Through the interpretation of seismic response characteristics and amplitude attributes of PS-wave, it can supplement the identification of sand bodies, expand the scope of sand body identification, and support the exploration of gas, which has good technical application prospects.
