Abstract

Summary

This study analyzed three sandstone rock samples from a saline aquifer in an offshore basin in China. Using XCT technology, 3D digital core models were developed to examine pore network structures. An advanced MRI imaging system monitored fluid flow during core displacement experiments, focusing on the effects of varying injection pressures on CO flow behavior. The integration of experimental and imaging data provides a comprehensive understanding of CO flow and storage mechanisms in saline aquifers.
