Abstract

Summary

A series of time-lapse seismic field trials were conducted across the Johan Sverdrup field using the modular source deployed for normal PRM operations. Concurrent with PRM operations a fibre in one of the active seismic array cables was interrogated using DAS.

The levels of non-repeatability of the DAS data acquired was higher but still comparable with that seen during normal PRM operations.

The DAS data was able to measure a relatively small production-induced difference in the subsurface caused by water flooding between the baseline and subsequent repeat surveys.
