Abstract

Summary

In an energy company, where a lot of data are acquired, a data governance that regularize data management is crucial. Different types of surface and subsurface data need to be well organized without uncertainties and, above all, easy to search and fast to used.

With recent digital transformation, we decided to build a digital platform to converge data belonging different data domains. Among these, Territorial data that include, for example, remote sensing, surface data, shallow hazard, geotechnical and others, were organized according to a well-defined but flexible data model.

The model was developed adding data to a registry with some attributes in term of survey and projects.

In addition, all data uploaded were quality checked adding metadata whereas they lack.

The maps produced and derived from data were linked to input in order to create a lineage between data input and output.

The created platform enable to search data, consult metadata, visualize info in GIS embedded system.

The access to the data, to be download, is regulated according to the data governance rules. Today in the digital platform, concerning territorial surface data, are present more than 100.000 files.
