Abstract

Summary

We present a full-3D Electrical Resistivity Tomography survey on an archeological site. We discuss optimization strategies in terms of quadrupole sequences and acquisition setup. Compared to traditional 2D or pseudo3D surveys, this setup manages to reach a resolution comparable to that of multichannel GPR. This technology is ready to be employed to archaeological sites difficult to investigate with GPR, due to clayish soil or bumped terrain.
