In early 2025 a TSIKL UAV-based TEM survey was conducted in South Africa using 200m × 200 m ground-based transmitting loop and a UAV quadcopter-mounted receiver. The survey was aimed at mapping overburden thickness and subsequently depth to the basement gneiss unit. The UAV-TEM data were inverted for conductance using Advanced Floating S-plane inversion (AFSI) algorithm, which was proven effective to depths exceeding 50 meters, showing computational efficiency and great practical application.
