This paper describes the activities carried out within a project focused on the dynamic monitoring of the Bisantis bridge, emphasizing the integration of numerical analyses and experimental data. The preliminary modelling of the viaduct was completed using existing structural data provided by Anas; at the same time preliminary modelling and initial ambient vibration tests (OMA) were performed using an interferometric radar. Moreover, the installation of 12 accelerometric sensors enabled the acquisition of data for modal analysis. Preliminary results led to the development of models to assess the influence of the piers on the arch, highlighting the dependence of natural frequencies not only on structural characteristics but also on temperature and loading conditions. Triaxial MEMS wireless accelerometers were selected for the proposed monitoring system, with a specific positioning plan and defined attention and alarm thresholds based on deviations in the natural frequencies. Data analysis includes frequent (monthly) and annual monitoring to identify significant changes in the dynamic behaviour of the structure. Therefore, at the end of the dynamic monitoring it was possible defined the main frequencies of the bridge and the its principal behaviour.
