Geothermal Reservoir Property Prediction from 2D Seismic Data, Onshore the Netherlands

The development of geothermal energy requires an understanding of the reservoir properties of the target subsurface formation. The estimation of subsurface reservoir properties from seismic reflection data is an established discipline in hydrocarbon exploration and development. In this presentation, we discuss the application of seismic inversion and reservoir characterisation to an onshore 2D dataset for the purpose of geothermal site selection verification.
