Abstract

Summary

We presented the 2025 results of state-of-the-art reprocessing (i.e. velocity model building and Imaging) work for CO2 storage of the CS026-Sean and CS027-Indefatigable fields in the UK sector. This case study demonstrates that vintage datasets can be transformed into improved imaging volumes impacting geological interpretations and CCUS site assessment. The resulting broader bandwidth and improved image focusing have significantly improved the clarity of the reservoir faults within the compartmentalized reservoir. This, combined with the reduced depth uncertainty, allows for more reliable updates to capacity estimates.
