Abstract

Summary

Digital drilling platforms (DDP) are used in oil and gas drilling planning and demonstrate significant value. This digital platform can also be utilized in geothermal well construction. DDP helps address challenges in geothermal drilling by consolidating data and lessons from oil and gas wells and previous geothermal wells, enabling efficient task mapping, thermal modeling, and well integrity testing. This integration facilitates the rapid generation of drilling programs, reducing administrative tasks and focusing on optimization and risk management. The platform’s features include automated engineering analysis, risk management, and activity planning, which enhance planning and execution performance. The document highlights the potential for reductions in drilling time and costs, suggesting that the geothermal sector adopt these technologies to improve efficiency and quality. The conclusion notes the role of DDP in preserving knowledge and improving geothermal well design, with future steps aimed at enhancing data integration across systems.
