Abstract
Enabling Carbon Management requires technical assessments of the resources and clear frameworks for development. The offshore of Nova Scotia, Canada has carbon storage potential that far exceeds the emissions of the province, indicating it has the potential to be developed as a regional Carbon Management hub. Net Zero Atlantic is leading and supporting activities assessing the carbon management capacity of geological storage and marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR), while also providing insights on actions to enable development in the region. A summary of on-going geological storage assessment in saline aquifers, an overview of mCDR developments and highlights of a CCS Roadmap for Atlantic Canada highlight the carbon storage potential and pathway for development of these resources.
