Abstract

Summary

Fault rocks from surface outcrops were sampled and fault properties, such as shale content, porosity, and permeability were measured. Additional samples from hanging wall/foot wall host rock are analysed and compared to the lithology and properties of the fault rock.

Shale gouge ration (SGR; ) was calculated based on Vsh log data from adjacent well data. Key components for validating this method encompass selecting an appropriate field analogue outcrop, employing a suitable sampling technique, and conducting the petrophysical laboratory measurements
