Abstract

Summary

The aim of this study was to establish a method that can precisely identify contamination sites where chemicals are present but are currently undetected due to natural attenuation. As a part of environmental forensic analysis, ecological risk assessment was conducted by monitoring the changes in the stable isotopes (δ13C and δ15N), radioactive isotope 14C/12C ratios, microbial species involved in chemical degradation, and characteristics of the soil from field- and laboratory-scale experiments.
