oa Late Quaternary Neotropical Climate and Environmental Variability Across Glacial – Interglacial Cycles at Lake Petén Itzá

We generated new proxy records of hydroclimate and vegetation from Lake Petén Itzá. Lake Petén Itzá, located in northern Guatemala (16°55’N, 89°50’W), was drilled in 2006 as a part of the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program, which recovered a record of the last 413 kyr (Martínez-Abarca et al., 2024), spanning multiple glacial-interglacial cycles.
