Abstract

Summary

Prospects for increasing Ukraine’s resource base are associated with the Dnipro-Donets Depression, including the Visean-Tournaisian rock complex, primarily carbonate deposits. These are revealed by deep wells (5500–6700 m). For detailed study of these complex, low-porosity objects, several computer-based methods are proposed. They utilize various logging techniques and provide determination and evaluation of void space components and collector types: with homogeneous pore structure, macropores, etc. Control over saturation character and composition of the predicted hydrocarbon inflow is determined by constructed petrophysical models. The effectiveness of the methods is demonstrated using the example of a well in the Vodyanivska area.
