Abstract

Summary

The Post-War Reconstruction Plan for Hydromeliorative Systems in Ukraine outlines a comprehensive approach to restoring critical infrastructure damaged by ongoing military conflict. This plan addresses the urgent need to repair and modernize Ukraine’s hydromeliorative systems, essential for maintaining agricultural productivity and ensuring water resource management.

The plan begins with a detailed damage and risk assessment, utilizing advanced technologies such as drones and satellite imagery to evaluate the extent of damage and potential risks. Following this, a strategic restoration plan is developed, prioritizing the most critical facilities and securing funding through state, international, and private resources.

The reconstruction phase incorporates modern technologies and materials to enhance resilience against future challenges while adhering to environmental standards to minimize negative impacts. Community involvement and capacity building are central to the plan, ensuring local engagement and the development of expertise for ongoing maintenance.

Monitoring and control systems will be established to track the condition of restored infrastructure, with regular reporting to stakeholders. International cooperation will play a key role in the plan, leveraging global best practices and technical assistance to support Ukraine’s recovery efforts.

Ultimately, the plan aims to integrate restored infrastructure into broader water management strategies, promoting long-term sustainability and resilience. By addressing immediate needs and future challenges, this plan will contribute to regional stability, support Ukraine’s role as a global food leader, and enhance global food security.
