Abstract

Summary

The study of an aquifer, which is currently used for drinking and technical water supply within Katanske village, was carried out. In the framework of the study, a set of field, laboratory and office studies was carried out. The main focus was given to the results of chemical analysis of water samples collected in the field and hydrogeological modeling. Based on the obtained results of the study, the main source of threat to the quality of local groundwater was identified and solutions aimed to mitigate environmental and, partially, social risks were suggested.
