Abstract

Summary

The paper highlights the resource potential of the Volyn copper ore region. The main goal of the study is to objectively assess the resource base of the region and the degree of investment attractiveness of native copper mineralization objects in order to evaluate investment risks in Cu prospecting and exploration. Recalculation of the resource potential of Volynska, Kukhotsko-Volska, and Manevytska metallogenic areas was carried out. Borehole data was reviewed, prospective intervals were selected, and Cu resources were recalculated. As a result of the study, the insignificant investment attractiveness of most of the objects of the Volyn copper ore region was confirmed. It was shown that its previous economic assessment during the prospecting studies was overestimated by one order of magnitude. It has been established that further development of its potential by possible investors is associated with significant risks.
