Abstract
The authors have investigated the void space structure of the Upper Visean and Lower Visean-Tournaisian reservoir rocks in the Berezivske, Krasnokutske, and Kotelevske fields located in the marginal part of the Dnipro-Donets Basin.
According to the obtained data, the most promising Upper Visean reservoir rocks in terms of void space structure are found in the Kotelevske field. The Lower Visean-Tournaisian deposits, as determined by the study, exhibit even greater potential, with the Krasnokutske field standing out due to its high fracture porosity.
The research results presented in this study are consistent with formation testing conducted in the analyzed wells. Gas inflow was recorded from the Upper Visean formation in a well at the Kotelevske field (29 thousand cubic meters per day) and from the Lower Visean-Tournaisian formations across all three fields. The obtained insights into the void space structure can be utilized for planning further well testing.
