Abstract

Summary

Based on the complex interpretation of geological and geophysical data, the features of the deep structure of the lithosphere according to the RomUkrSeis profile are revealed. A detailed review of different ideas about the depth of the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary from the Pannonian Basin to the East European Platform was made. It was found that the dip or rise of the upper edge of the asthenosphere coincides with the hypothetical tracing of crustal-mantle faults to it, which were identified based on the results of density modeling, features of the seismic model, and geological-geophysical data. A lithospheric zone with a probable system of fluid migration channels that determine the formation of methane deposits was found under the Transylvanian Basin. The location of the Teisseire-Tornquist zone is traced, which, according to the hypothetical continuation of the Krakowiec-

Bikaj (Uzhochtskyi), fault, goes deeper to the kinks in the asthenosphere roof (according to geoelectric studies) at depths of 70 and 100 km under the Outer Eastern Carpathians. The Volyn-Podillya monocline is characterized by geophysical heterogeneities in the lithosphere, which are explained by heating, as well as fluid saturation of rocks.
