Abstract

Summary

This article is dedicated to one of the first cases of exploring hydrocarbons and potential in the Western part of Ukraine using modern technology of rock physics and quantitative seismic interpretation. The object of research is productive Sarmatian reservoir in the Outer Zone of the Pre-Carpathian Foredeep. Application of petrophysical and rock physics analyses techniques allowed to determine the impact of lithology, porosity, and saturation on elastic properties. A productive sandstone distribution was determined using seismic AVO attributes and elastic inversion.
