Abstract

Summary

Land use for agriculture significantly affects the overall structure of land cover and often destroys natural connections in landscapes, which leads to the loss of landscape and biodiversity. In addition, using mineral fertilizers and plant protection products pollutes the environment, negatively affecting human health. It is important to introduce innovative methods of soil cultivation, particularly precision agriculture, which allows you to control and prevent these hazardous environmental processes. The main method of monitoring land use impact on the state of the environment is the analysis of satellite images. The publication examines a watershed area of 1000 hectares in the upper reaches of the Kolomyika River (left tributary of the Prut River). Several negative processes and changes in the land cover structure have been identified as a result of land consolidation. The importance of taking into account environmental protection requirements in land management was emphasized, in particular, the demarcation of the boundaries of protective coastal strips of water bodies and ecological networks.
