Abstract

Summary

Relationships established from wireline log quantitative interpretation, formation evaluation and petrophysical cross-plotting are used to interpret seismic amplitude and predict reservoir quality. Complex lithological facies result in complex petrophysical and elastic properties. This study investigates the impact of heterogeneity (in terms of petrophysical and elastic properties) of the reservoir, top seal and lateral seal on acoustic impedance contrast and quantitative seismic interpretation.
