Abstract

Summary

The northern tectonic belt of Kuqa Depression is the most important natural gas replacement area in Tarim Basin. However, the gravel layer in this area is very developed, and the high velocity conglomerate has a great influence on the accurate determination of the structure. In this paper, a 3D multi-physical field exploration method is introduced, the distribution and thickness of gravel in the Quaternary and Neogene Formation are interpreted by using the 3D gravity, magnetic and magnetotelluric inversion results, which can provide a basis for shallow seismic structure modeling. The research results indicate that multi-physical exploration is an effective method for solving gravel layers and can promote shallow surface lithology surveys in similar areas.
