Abstract

Summary

The Black hole operator is a static optimization operator designed for strategic reservoir target placement. It plays a critical role within the Development Concept Generator (DCG)—a commercial engine that automates the generation of field development concepts across various maturity stages of oil and gas projects. The improved BHO algorithm introduces smarter target placement techniques to enable users to try different target placement configuration in the process of optimizing field development planning.
