Abstract

Summary

In 2025, TotalEnergies launched DvLOP (Digital Life of Project), a strategic initiative to digitize and automate the Exploration decision-making process. DvLOP addresses key challenges of agility, traceability, and cycle-time reduction, aligning with the company’s digital roadmap. Built on the Pega platform for its BPM and low-code/no-code capabilities, DvLOP enables complex workflow modeling and seamless integration with external and internal connectors such as Outlook, SharePoint, GIS Map Service, and GeoX. The first phase, deployed in October 2025, focused on the Quality Consistency Review (QCR), a critical step ahead of prospect validation. Key deliverables include full orchestration of QCR tasks with automated notifications and SLA tracking, a unified interface for data entry and report generation, and a centralized repository. Benefits observed are significant time savings, a robust and scalable foundation with a 20% reduction in build effort as experienced in a legacy tool integration, and a 65% reduction in manual input with elimination of clerical mistakes. The presentation will discuss rationales for change, functional and technical architecture, methodological choices, lessons learned and future extensions leveraging Generative AI for decision support. DvLOP demonstrates how digitalization transforms project governance, improves decision quality and accelerates collaborative, data-driven practices.
