Распознавание разломной природы сланцевых залежей с использованием сейсмических атрибутов

ДжонсSuccessful development of unconventional shale gas plays in North America can help with similar development in Europe, where traditional oil and gas resources studied extensively for decades. Optimizing the development of unconventional plays is difficult due to extremely low permeability, abnormal pressure and sonic velocity changes in layers. To ensure sufficient production rates and to maintain economic feasibility hydraulic fracturing should be modeled precisely within production zone to provide maximum areal contact with reservoir. While designing treatment parameters for fracing wells and given the high variability and heterogeneity of shale it’s imperative to delineate different zones (ductile and brittle) within shale. To solve such problem in highly faulted and fractured areas geoscientists traditionally used geometric post-stack seismic attributes (e.g., coherency or curvature) as they are the best for that purpose – detecting and delineating faults, fractures or any discontinuities. In our investigation we went further and studied geophysical responses of shale gas plays using pre-stack gathers and computed AVO attributes. Here we wanted to share the results of successful use of both – post-stack and pre-stack attributes for detection and delineation of different zones in shale plays and determination of gas distribution in shale plays at tuning thickness

More LessThe excitation of elastic waves on the Earth surface near the well head, can lead to tube wave generation in the borehole. Tube wave amplitude is huge comparing the reflecting signals. Tube-wave is not directly recorded to the VSP tool but generated the coupling oscillations of mechanical system sonde-to-borehole wall. Sonde coupling effect is a well-known in borehole seismic. It appears when body waves P or S arrive to the downhole tool. But the tube wave arrival generates rather strong oscillations. These natural oscillations are usually visible on the VSP wave-field. The amplitude of reportable oscillations varies depending on the quality of cement bond conditions and quality of the VSP tool clamping. Band limitedness of recorded signal and variability of amplitude produce serious problems in the suppression of tube wave noise on VSP data. The main goal of the paper is tube wave investigation and development the tube wave suppression algorithm

АдиевToday, vertical seismic profiling (VSP) plays a key role in providing the oil companies of valuable information not only about the deep properties of the geologic section, but also about its geological structure. The composition of a wide range of problems solved by borehole seismic, include: the study of the formation and propagation of the wave fields at interior points of the environment, the selection of different types of waves, the determination of their nature and structure refinement of near-well space, evaluation of the effective thickness of the collectors, the identification of zones of increased porosity and carbonate rocks. In this paper we present the results and shows the need for an integrated approach to the interpretation of borehole seismic data based on procedures involving the inversion and the other phase-frequency transformation of temporary seismic sections

НифонтовThe use of gravity data to estimate parameters and to determine near-surface static corrections is becoming more popular. Of particular importance is the application of this method at the Siberian platform, where amplitudes of the structures are small, and the influence of strong near-surface inhomogeneities greatly distorts the wave pattern. We offer a technology of co-processing and interpretation of seismic and gravity data. The technology is based on the adaptive methods for inverse problems of gravimetry and magnetometry, implemented in packages ADG-3D and the ADM-3D, as well as existing seismic data processing packages

In this regard, in our country there is a need to train geoscientists in the field of seismic exploration. As the first national high school textbook used in seismic monograph of prof. P.T. Sokolov. In view of the historical features of engineering training in Russia is based on a high theoretical level of teaching. Therefore, even the first textbooks on seismic calculated on a fairly thorough study a wide range of issues of theory, methodology and technology of this method. This paper examines the main stages in the creation of national textbooks on seismic data, commented on the content of all the official textbooks.

More LessIn spite of the constant development of technologies of geophysical methods and in particular seismic exploration, for achievement of positive results at all stages of searching of minerals, an important task is authentic interpretation of data received as a result of application of one or the other method. In this article the way of rational application of a method of the seismic facies analysis is offered in process of interpretation of seismic data. For this purpose was developed the detailed scheme of application of a method of the seismic facies analysis in which some main stages were marked out. For confirmation of the practical importance, was carried out the interpretation of seismic data on the Lobodinsky and Southern-Kislovskoy areas located within the western board of Precaspian Depression by a method of the seismic facies analysis according to the scheme mentioned above. The construction of authentic geological model and marking out of several earlier not revealed structures in productive deposits P1ar became the result of the carried-out works.

Картирование фундамента по гравиметрическим данным
By А.А. ЧерновPreconditions and mapping are stated ways a base surface in various geological conditions. Examples of application of offered methods for the decision of the described problem are given. It is shown, what even within one region (Western Siberia) on rather close sites geological conditions and accordingly methods of the decision of a problem can be essentially various. Mapping of base surfaces results on two areas in Western Siberia and roofs and bottom of a basalt layer on a shelf of India are produced. On the listed examples efficiency of existing approaches and techniques is shown

Изучение территории ХМАО геопотенциальными методами
By А.А. ЧерновResearch is based on the analysis of maps of gravitational and magnetic anomalies. For an estimation of probably productive area and geological risks transformations maps of geopotential fields are used. The configuration of gravitational anomalies is defined by some structure in the internal areas of the Paleozoic base which are settling down on depths essentially below three kilometres. The specified results allow to isolate rather small heterogeneity the structures supplementing rather large faults. On the listed examples efficiency of existing approaches and techniques is shown

Выделение литологических разностей и емкостных свойств карбонатных пород в разрезах скважин

The algorithm is based on different influence of lithology on TNNL,GGL,AL.methods and let to divide carbonate rocks to limestones, dolomites and dolomitzed limestones and to point reservoir properties of the rocks. The main distinction of this method is that from rhe beginging you should point the lithological identity of the rocks and after this you should do the calculation of porosity and also the refuse of introduction of amendments for clay content.This is achived by using of main parameters, calculated for real composition of the rocks (mixture of limestone -dolomite)
