A031 A comparison of sparse inversion techniques for 3D SRME Abstract 1 MICHEL SCHONEWILLE ROB HEGGE AND ROALD VAN BORSELEN PGS Court Halfway Green Walton-on-Thames Surrey KT12 1RS UK In 3D surface related multiple elimination shot-gathers are convolved with receiver gathers to obtain multiple contribution traces which in principle can be summed over the inline and cross-line direction to obtain a predicted multiple trace. With current acquisition geometries the sampling in the cross-line direction is sparse which leads to aliasing artifacts when this summation is carried out. It has been proposed to use a sparse inversion over hyperbolic or parabolic
