However the full benefits of this combination can be expected only when comparable resolution is obtained from the two modes at target level. It is currently often observed that PS resolution deteriorates with depth at a faster rate than P resolution. Some of the differences in P or PS propagations and recordings related to asymmetry or anisotropy have been closely investigated and are generally taken into account
