Water for Peace

Decades of armed conflict between the Philippine government and militant Muslim<br>organizations made Sulu one of the poorest provinces in the country. In 2004, Tabang Mindanaw, an<br>alliance of several local non-government organizations formed in 1998 to address the food crisis in<br>mainland Mindanao, committed itself to assist communities in Sulu find clean water as a means to<br>promote peace.
