Abstract

The southern portion of the São Francisco Craton (SFC), Minas Gerais, Brazil, including rocks ranging from the early Archean up to the late Neoproterozoic. However, the lack of rock exposures and connections among rock formations at surface poses problems for regional geologic mapping and interpretation. In this paper, an attempt was made to map three elliptical anomalies in the southernmost part of the SFC, using aerogeophysical (magnetics and gamma ray) data, with the aim to understanding both regional rock domains and structure.
