Abstract

This work consists of a qualitative airborne geophysical interpretation (magnetometry and gammaspectrometry) of an area of 35,450 km² of the Trombetas Aerogeophysical Project, which is located in the north portion of the the State of Pará, Brazil. The study aims at stressing the importance of the aerogeophysical surveys to the planning of the geological mapping, mainly in the regions of difficult access like this project area, whose geology is not well known but of great metalogenetic importance to the country.
