Abstract
The authors present the results of testing some new procedures for processing and interpretation of airborne gamma-spectrometric data with the aim of localizing areas promising for oil and gas. Given are the prerequisites for developments, features of procedures and final results from the known oil(Shugurovskaya, Tatarstan) and gas condensate (Zimnee, Yenisei-Khatanga oil and gas-bearing region) fields-references. Solutions of practical tasks (localization of promising areas in a new region) are illustrated by the materials from the Chyvashiya area and the Omorinskaya area.
