Abstract

The Early Miocene (Cycles I-II) of the southwestern Sarawak Basin (Tatau-Balingian-Tinjar<br>Provinces) is comprised of thick (>6 km), vertically stacked successions of alluvial plain, coastal plain, coastal<br>and offshore depositional systems. The lower coastal plain and coastal deposits are most variable having<br>formed in a wide range of sub-environments.
