3-D Post-Stack Migration Velocity Analysis by Time-Slice Kirchhoff Integration

This work presents a new algorithm for time migration, that uses the circular simetry of the tridimensional operator for zero offset data. One use of this algorithm is to prepare velocity fields for final migration. An implementation in workstations has proofed to be very efficient for tiny velocity adjustments, producing reliable and accurate sub-surface imagery. Examples of 3-D images in the North part of the field of Tubarao are presented, to show the utility of the method.
